Olivarera San Benito
Olivarera San Benito is a cooperative society dedicated to the production of EVOO under its own brand of “Patrón San Benito”.
Olivarera San Benito is a cooperative society located in Campillos that was established as a Trade Union Cooperative in 1964 with 21 founding members. The facilities of this society included the oil mill, composed of a reception yard, barns, factory hall with presses, stones, settling tanks plus a storage warehouse, later opening a store supplying agricultural spare parts.
Subsequently, and always with the criterion of improving quality, the first major transformation was carried out, a continuous extraction system was installed. Likewise, cleaners and reception hoppers were installed in the patio, eliminating barns. A new warehouse was built that increased the storage capacity by 900 tons, changing the iron tanks for one made of stainless steel. A fuel pump, a pomace pitting line and numerous reforms were installed that contribute to the proper functioning of the oil mill, always seeking the quality of the oils. Later the greening activity and the cereal section were created.
Recently, Olivarera San Benito has begun to market its own Extra Virgin Olive Oil in two formats, one of 500ml gourmet glass and 1l pet, with its own brand “Patrón San Benito”, born thanks to the commitment of the partners of this olive farm with the quality, whose project seeks to value the work of the 20 employees who are currently part of the company's staff and the more than 400 farming families of Campillos, making known the culture of oil and its benefits.
