El Pastor del Valle is, first of all, a fruit of efforts and coordination of years of work by Antonio Vera y Pepi Burgos .
Antonio Vera is a Malaga breeder of goat livestock from he was a small boy because he inherited from his father the love for caring the animals and the field. Every day he goes to family goat farm located 5 kilometred from the cheese factory to care for livestock that soon will give milk of which the cheeses El Pastor del Valle are made.
Pepi Burgos is one of the first cheese masters in Malaga province. She created Cheeses El Pastor del Valle with Antonio as a way of a disposal of milk produced by the livestock Antonio took care of. Every day, Pepi goes to where the livestock her husbands cares of is, in order to pick 1.000 liters of milk which transforms into fresh, medium mature, and mature cheeses or dairy deserts.
After mor than 25 years of work, Quesos El Pastor del Valle is a landmark in artisanal cheese factory of Malaga, and, besides, obtained numerous national and international awards: Fromagora, World Cheese Adwards, Premio Roma, Sabor a Málaga …
Nowadays, El Pastor del Valle gives work to six persons procuring the creation of job in local economy eiyh the model of sustainable business and in which the reconciliation is a basis of everyday work.
