Cervezas del Soho de Málaga Cruzcampo
Cruzcampo maintains a strong commitment to the province of Malaga through its economic, cultural and social contribution. Cruzcampo's roots in Andalusia date back to 1904, when the enterprising Osborne brothers decided to make a high-quality beer especially designed for the warm temperatures of this land. In 2000 Cruzcampo became part of HEINEKEN, the most international brewing company in the world, which operates more than 165 factories in 70 countries, employing 80,000 people. In Spain, the company has 4 large production centers, two of them located in Andalusia, and employs more than 2,200 people directly and 41,000 indirectly, most of them in the hospitality sector, an important driver of the economy of our country and our region.
Today, and after many milestones in its history, the Cruzcampo brand's commitment to Málaga has been the opening of La Fábrica Cruzcampo de Málaga, in the Malaga neighborhood of Soho. A pioneering project in HEINEKEN worldwide that has chosen the city of Malaga to settle. A space for beer experimentation and innovation that is at the forefront of society's trend in its growing interest in beer culture and the search for new varieties.
Inaugurated in January 2018, La Fábrica is a project that combines beer brewing with the reference gastronomic hospitality service. This project is a key commitment to Malaga, which is inspired by the modernity of Soho, one of the hearts of urban art in Spain. A neighborhood that has been baptized as “Arts Neighborhood” and that today houses some of the best leisure, art and hospitality venues in the region. Thus, La Fábrica Cruzcampo de Málaga has become one of the driving forces of an emerging and constantly evolving neighborhood. It is a space for beer creation and innovation in which to live and share the art of brewing with the help of its master brewers. A space for creation and experimentation where visitors can live and share the passion for art, beer and gastronomy, which is inspired by the avant-garde of this neighborhood to create new beers. A space to share the passion for beer and quality, highlighting its differential and artisanal value.
At the Cruzcampo Factory in Malaga our two Master Brewers annually produce 950 HL of Cruzcampo Soho Beers, specifically, seven different varieties of beer. On the one hand, 4 permanent varieties, all adapted to the Malaga consumer: Malagueta , a pale ale, Cruzcampo de Trigo, Cruzcampo IPA and Cruzcampo Strong Ale.
Likewise, two more limited editions are made that change monthly and a Seasonal Beer, which changes with each season, all of them are made to
accompany the different milestones of the city and times of the year. An example of this are “La Biznaga de Oro”, a tribute to the Malaga Film Festival and “A 6 Manos”, a 6-hands beer between cuisine and brewery inspired by the Málaga Gastronomy Festival, Smoked Ale Castañera, a beer inspired in the aroma of the chestnut stands that bathe the streets of Malaga in Autumn. Furthermore, in many of these monthly beers, raw materials from the province of Malaga have been used, such as Mangos from the Axarquía supplier “Avocados Cereto”, spices, honey and, of course, water, a key ingredient in the preparation of the beer. beer.
